"Bridge to a Shared Perspective" Campaign

Since its modest beginnings in 1995, Perquimans Arts League (PAL) stands out as a volunteer organization that works to cultivate the arts in Perquimans County. PAL actively supports literary, visual, and performing arts in the community. Last year alone, PAL provided art education to 1000 local youth.

Recognizing its value to the community, but also its inability to reach and inspire everyone from its cramped rented space of 800 sq ft, PAL volunteers took bold action to increase the number of programs and people they serve by moving its location.

A forward-thinking Board of Directors purchased outright the shell of a landmark building in Hertford, which required significant renovation. In October 2021 PAL occupied its new Gallery on the first floor!

When the building is fully renovated, more than 5500 sq ft of area will allow for not only a first-class gallery, but learning space for classes, workshops, and demonstrations that will appeal to diverse audiences. This space will also serve as a safe place for children to explore the arts through summer camps and after school programs.

The Bridge to a Shared Perspective Campaign continues to raise the necessary funds to facilitate this important second floor expansion.

Join us now to help Perquimans Arts League:

·  Build a first-class art gallery and learning space where artists want to work and display their art, and where all visitors feel welcome,

·  Provide a safe and fun environment for youth to explore the arts,

·  Help create a cohesive community,

·  Appeal to a diverse population,

·  Contribute to the revitalization of downtown Hertford, and

·  Become a go-to destination spot!
